Dungeon Crawl is a group exhibition of new art involving dark fantasy, role playing and tabletop games – things like D&D, CRPGs and Warhammer. The artists in this show celebrate these aesthetics, consider their cultural meanings, and probe their metaphoric possibilities. Through sculpture, sound, drawing, and software art, they respond to practices like potion-making, world building, object enchantment, lore, grinding, and monster design. Dungeon Crawl is presented in a literal underground dungeon, and paired with public programs including Dungeons & Dragons sessions and fantasy miniature painting workshops.
